DreamLifts
A one-day adventure, DreamLifts involve chartering an aircraft to fly approximately 80 children to exciting destinations such as West Edmonton Mall, Walt Disney World in Florida or Disneyland in California.
Medical volunteers accompany the children to ensure that their health needs are addressed and Sunshine volunteers fill the role of "buddy" to provide support and companionship throughout the day.
As part of the eligibility criteria, children must be at least seven years of age, because the children must be able to endure a very long day and enjoy travelling without a parent.
An opportunity for older children to go on an exciting adventure, DreamLifts are momentous events where kids visit a magical world outside of their day-to-day routine. Many of them also take pride in the fact that they were able to succeed without constant parental supervision.
