Backstage Pass

Music means a lot to Jasmin.

Music is something she shares with all her friends; it helps her find her voice. Born with cerebral palsy, Jasmin has "been through an awful lot" according to her grandmother, who adds "but she's a tough cookie."

Like many girls her age, 14-year old Jasmin's room is a shrine to all her favourite things - and in the center of it all is her favourite band, Marianas Trench, and their lead singer, Josh Ramsay. She remembers telling her best friend that her dream to meet the band was going to come true: "She screamed, then I screamed, then we all started crying."

Jasmin's Sunshine Dream experience was themed blue (like the hair of her idol, Josh). Jasmin was presented with her concert tickets along with blue cupcakes and a blue iPod! Her trip involved a special makeover to look her best for their introduction, time to hang out with the band backstage, and awesome seats for the concert itself.

After the show, Jasmin let us know how special her dream was, and that she was learning to play the guitar. The concert itself was something she'll never forget - seeing her beloved Josh performing up close. "He even winked at me during the show."
