Sunshine Walk for Kids' Dreams

The Sunshine Walk for Kids' Dreams was our signature event from 1997 to 2006.  In the 10 years it was held, this event brought together 28,000 Walk participants and 2,000 event volunteers, while raising more than $2.8 million for Sunshine children.

In 2009, we are bringing back the Sunshine Walk for Kids' Dreams with the goal that in the years to come, this Walk will once again unite Sunshine supporters clear across the country on a single day, for a few hours, in support of Sunshine kids and the vision that every child should have the opportunity to live their dream.

Join us this year in Brantford and Oakville, Ontario on June 27th and help pave the way for a strong Canada-wide Walk which will raise awareness and funds to help fulfill the dreams of kids from coast to coast to coast!

If you live in one of the communities that are hosting the Walks, you can get involved in the 2009 Sunshine Walk for Kids’ Dreams by walking, entering a team made up of friends or co-workers, pledging a walker, volunteering, or simply making a donation to Sunshine. If you aren’t in one of these areas, you can still make an online pledge to the Walks or a specific Walker.  Pledge now!

Route: Along the Walking Canal (Grand River)
Special Activities: Krispy Krackers Clown, Band, BBQ and Door Prizes
