Monthly Donations

Giving monthly is one of the strongest statements of commitment you can make and enables your donation to go even further. Monthly support is important to Sunshine because we can count on your gift and plan ahead. A gift of $10, $20 or $30 (just $1 a day) will help ensure that every Sunshine child will have their Dream come true.

By choosing this option, Sunshine Foundation will automatically withdraw your donation on the 15th of the month from your bank account. You may revoke your authorization at any time, subject to providing 10 days notice, by using this Cancellation Form.

Planned Giving

Through legacy giving you can ensure that children will live their Dream for years into the future. There are a number of ways you can leave a legacy gift, allowing you to do lasting good in your community while optimizing tax and other financial benefits. Professional advice from your lawyer, accountant or financial advisor will help determine the best option for you:

Bequest in a Will: One of the most popular choices is to make a gift of cash or property by including Sunshine Foundation as a beneficiary in your Will. The simplest form of planned giving, it may also significantly reduce your estate taxes.

Life Insurance: A gift of life insurance allows you to make a large gift in the future by paying relatively small premiums now. You can name Sunshine Foundation as the owner or beneficiary of a new or existing life insurance policy. This gift will also entitle you to tax advantages.

Gift of Securities: By donating securities directly to Sunshine Foundation, your payment for capital gains will be significantly less than if you had kept the proceeds for yourself. A donation receipt is issued for the full market value of the security at the date of the transfer.

Giving in Memoriam

Sunshine Foundation is happy to notify the next of kin when a gift is made in memory of a loved one. Our giving form allows you to indicate the next of kin as well as the loved one. Note: We do not solicit new donors who give in memoriam.

Special Occasions/ In Celebration / In Honour

Join the very special group of Sunshine Foundations supporters who share their special occasion by making a donation in lieu of gifts. Celebrations may include birthdays, anniversaries, weddings and retirement.
