NPT London Corporate Challenge 2015

London Corporate Challenge

Saturday, June 20, 2015

Nearly 40 teams made up of friends, family and co-workers tackled a maze of fun and challenging team building events in support of The Sunshine Foundation of Canada. Saturday, June 20th 2015 marked the 5th year for the London Corporate Challenge, last year raising net proceeds of $72,000 in support of the Dreams for Kids Programs of The Sunshine Foundation of Canada.

Taylor Tisdall, one of our Sunshine Kids, was on hand to add inspiration. Now 22 years old and a golf enthusiast, Taylor was 17 when The Sunshine Foundation of Canada was able to make his dream a reality – to meet Mike Weir at the Masters Golf Tournament.  Mike was incredibly engaging to Taylor and they still keep in touch today. Taylor now works at a golf course.

“This day is such a fun day of team building and team to team competition and all for a great cause,” said London Corporate Challenge organizer Mike Myles. “We have repeat teams and new teams alike this year with our new location open to the public to drop by. Funds raised will support Dreams for Kids here in London and across the country.”

We were thrilled to celebrate NPT Chartered Accountants returning as the presenting partner for this day of friendly competition and to announce Harris Park as the new event location for 2015.

“NPT is very excited to be part of the team – NPT, Corporate Challenge and The Sunshine Foundation – working together in support of the event. We made a 3 year commitment towards the Corporate Challenge starting in 2014 and we have over 35 members of our firm involved in teams, volunteering and/or organizing the special day this year. We are pleased with the growth, new location and direction of the event for the future and look forward to continuing to be involved for years to come. The Corporate Challenge is a great opportunity for team building, friendly competition and support of an organization that makes dreams come true for children with severe physical disabilities or life-threatening illnesses,” said John Prueter, Managing Partner NPT LLP.

“This day is all about teamwork, adventure and fun in support of Sunshine,” said Nancy Sutherland, CEO, The Sunshine Foundation of Canada. “We are deeply grateful to the event sponsors, organizers, volunteers and the challenge participants for their competitive and community spirit. The team fundraising efforts will mean even more children are able to experience the impact of Sunshine Dream Programs.”
