National Volunteer Week 2016
Volunteers Are the Heart of Sunshine
From coast to coast, hundreds of Sunshine Volunteers share their time, talents, and hearts in support of The Sunshine Foundation of Canada's mission to fulfill dreams for children living with severe physical disabilities or life-threatening illnesses.
From fundraising and growing our organization, surprising kids with their Sunshine Dream Presentation, to caring for medically fragile children on our Sunshine DreamLifts to Disney, volunteers make a difference in thousands of little hearts. They are at the heart of everything we do at Sunshine. By sharing their valuable skills and expertise, our volunteers make it possible for Sunshine to fulfill dreams nationally while maintaining a modest head office in London, ON. Ranging in age, ability, and location, there is no job too big or too small for a Sunshine volunteer because no matter what they’re doing, our volunteers are making a difference for Sunshine Kids.
As we near National Volunteer Week, happening April 11th-15th, Sunshine wanted to take the opportunity to thank our wonderful volunteers for everything they do for us and for Sunshine kids and their families. In that spirit we will be dedicating a whole month to volunteer appreciation on our Facebook and Twitter pages by highlighting the vital role that volunteers play in our mission to fulfill Sunshine Dreams.
