Quinn's Sunshine Dream
Quinn's Jeopardy adventure begins
Quinn's Dream of Meeting Jeopardy’s Alex Trebek Comes True
16 year old Quinn, a Jeopardy super fan living with left sided hemiplegia, was presented with his customized Sunshine Dream of meeting Alex Trebek and sitting in on a taping of his favourite show. His Sunshine Dream presentation took place on Wednesday, February 17th at the WINNERS/HomeSense in Peterborough, Ontario.
To Quinn, who never misses an episode of Jeopardy and even watches old episodes online in his free time, seeing a taping of the show in-person was only a dream. This February, Quinn’s dream comes true. Alongside his parents Robin and Kevin, Quinn will take a weeklong trip to Los Angeles where he will not only attend a taping of the show but will also meet its long time host and fellow Canadian, Alex Trebek. Coordinated especially for Quinn by The Sunshine Foundation, this exciting adventure will also allow him to spend quality time with his parents, experiencing new things and making cherished memories that they can share forever.
Each Sunshine Child is officially presented with their unique personal Sunshine Dream at either a private or public Dream Presentation, a celebration for the Sunshine Child, his or her family, friends and community. Quinn’s family has chosen to celebrate his Dream Presentation publicly at their local WINNERS and HomeSense store. WINNERS and HomeSense stores have been a national partner to The Sunshine Foundation of Canada since 1999. Since beginning their relationship WINNERS and HomeSense have helped raise $8.6 million dollars to fulfill the most cherished dreams of Canadian children living with severe physical disabilities or life threatening illnesses from coast to coast.
“WINNERS and HomeSense are honoured to partner with The Sunshine Foundation to help raise both awareness and funds for a fantastic cause,” explains Erin O’Brien, WINNERS and HomeSense spokesperson.
