Windsor Corporate Challenge

Wednesday, November 4, 2015

“Windsor Corporate Challenge was created to be a fun day away from the office where corporate teams could get together and compete in a bunch of silly team building events.”

“Their support this year was incredible and I feel very proud we are able to contribute nearly $120,000 towards helping Sunshine Dreams come true for children living with severe physical disabilities or life-threatening illnesses. The community support has just been awesome!” says Meighen Nehme, organizer of Windsor Corporate Challenge and President & CEO of The Job Shoppe.

On June 20, 2015, hundreds of Windsor participants and volunteers converged on the Vollmer Culture and Recreation Complex as business teams throughout Windsor took part in Windsor Corporate Challenge, a one-day “FUNraiser”. The last pledges are all in with the incredible total raised in net proceeds of $118,869. The funds will help The Sunshine Foundation fulfill dreams for kids living with severe disabilities for life threatening illnesses in Windsor and across Canada.

Since 2012, the Windsor Corporate Challenge has raised net proceeds of over $292,000 for The Sunshine Foundation of Canada.

“Meighen and her caring and dedicated organizing team for the Windsor Corporate Challenge have contributed so generously to The Sunshine Foundation for so many years,” says Nancy Sutherland, CEO of The Sunshine Foundation of Canada. “This event is a benchmark for community engagement and I want to thank Meighen, a tireless cheerleader of this event, her enthusiastic organizing team, and all the event participants.  Funds raised this year will allow us to fulfill new dreams for more Sunshine children.”
