Divers emplacements d'OARA à travers l'Ontario
Mardi 22 mai, 2018 - 08:00 à Samedi 2 juin, 2018 - 17:00

The OARA Tire Take Back event is a tire recycling blitz running from May 22nd to June 2nd and is hosted by Ontario Auto Recyclers Association (OARA) and its members with support from registered tire haulers and processors. The event’s goal is to not only recycle thousands of used tires across the province, but through these efforts, raise funds for The Sunshine Foundation of Canada.

Residents and farmers with old tires they want to have recycled can take them in to participating OARA auto recyclers, and the recycler will donate any Collector fees they normally receive. In addition, participating Haulers will also contribute a portion of the fees they normally receive. On average a donated passenger or light truck tire will generate $0.88.

Over the last eight years, Ontarians have helped raise an astonishing $1,115,921 through the collection of 510,285 tires as part of our annual Tire Take Back events. In 2018, The Sunshine Foundation is challenging communities to raise more than $54,000 and surpass last year efforts. Funds raised from donated tires go towards supporting dreams for kids living with severe physical disabilities or life-threatening illnesses.
