Papa John's Pizza Expands Community Involvement and Dreams for Kids

Friday, March 17, 2017

The Sunshine Foundation of Canada is thrilled to announce the expansion of the Papa John’s Pizza DreamCookie campaign in 2017 in support of Sunshine Dream Programs. This year, the campaign will grow to include all Papa John’s locations in the Lower Mainland of British Columbia along with the previously participating Papa John’s locations in the BC Interior.  Starting on March 15th and running through to April 26th, Papa John’s is offering a special DreamCookie to customers at over 20 locations in British Columbia with one dollar from each DreamCookie sold helping make dreams come true for kids living with severe physical disabilities or life-threatening illnesses.

The Papa John’s DreamCookie campaign is one component of Papa John’s generous commitment to Sunshine. Since April 2015, five Papa John’s Pizza locations in Kelowna, West Kelowna, Kamloops and Prince George have generously supported Sunshine through both an annual DreamCookie campaign and an annual Dreams for Kids Day, raising significant funds to help fund Sunshine Dream Programs. With the incredible growth and expansion of Papa John’s throughout British Columbia over the past two years, the company is now involving more locations in support of Sunshine Dreams.

“We are incredibly excited that Papa John’s is expanding the DreamCookie campaign this year across more locations in British Columbia,” says Nancy Sutherland, CEO of The Sunshine Foundation of Canada. “The dedication of the Papa John’s team towards making a difference is exceptional. We’ve been fortunate to have such wonderful support over the past two years and are appreciative of the growing participation this year.”

The 3rd Annual Papa John’s Dreams for Kids Day will take place at participating Papa John’s locations in the BC Interior on the closing day of The DreamCookie campaign, April 26th.

“We are very pleased to engage more of our stores in support of this wonderful cause”, says Geoff Linquist, owner of the Kelowna and West Kelowna Papa John’s locations. “The support that we’ve received from our customers and the communities where we have undertaken this campaign over the past two years has really been incredible.  Our hope is to keep growing our support to help kids living with severe physical disabilities or life-threatening illness to continue to dream big and dream bold.”
